i will put a sword through
his righteous face
”Are you sure you want to do this?” Loras questioned, smirking slightly at his sister as he left her towards the armory. ”You’ve still got time to back out.” The other night during a particularly dreadful social event he’d made a comment how he was always going to dinners and parties and doing things to help Margaery become queen (like marrying the shewitch— no I will not go a single post without mentioning that) but she never did anything he wanted. It had mostly been made in jest, but the girl had taken it to heart and agreed to let him teach her how to sword fight. And Loras couldn't say he wasn't excited. When they got to the armory he took two of the wooden training swords, handing one to Margaery. ”It’s sort of self explanatory." he shrugged, backing up a step and drawing his sword up to show her. "Stick ‘em with the pointy end.” Sorry. I couldn’t resist.

the queen Are you sure you want to do this? Margaery grinned at her brother. “Yes, I’m sure,” she answered with a chuckle. Margaery was more than sure she wanted to do this. It was more than fair. You’ve still got time to back out. “Loras,” Margaery blurted out. “I want to do this, it’s only fair after all.” Loras had made a comment the other night while they were in the middle of a social gathering. Yet another move to further Olenna’s agenda of making Margaery queen. Don’t get the girl wrong she also wanted to be the queen. However the social gatherings with the royals, especially their soon to be in-laws, were getting a little stressful. Olenna even brought Loras into it which Margaery only thought her brother was going to become a knight. She didn’t know he was going to be set up in a marriage with her…colorful mother in-law. But anyways, Loras made a comment about how he was always doing things for Margaery and she never did anything he wanted to do. Sure it was meant as a joke but the woman took it to heart what her brother said. She never really did anything he wanted to do. So it escalated to him teaching her how to sword fight. Something Margaery was curious about but until now was never interested in learning. Margaery followed her brother to the armory, taking one of the wooden swords awkwardly. She examined it cautiously. It’s sort of self explanatory. “Really?” Margaery questioned sarcastically taking her eyes off her wooden weapon and on Loras’. Stick ‘em with the pointy end. And the feels have hit, thank you. “I know which end to use.” She wasn’t that daft about the whole situation.

”Loras, I want to do this, it’s only fair after all.” ”You know I didn’t mean that.” Okay.. he meant it a little bit. Loras loved his sister and he wanted her to be queen but he’d been a lot less enthusiastic about the plan since… well, since Renlys death.. and then there was all the things that happened once they got to Kings Landing and… okay so he was at the point where he didn’t even understand why their grandmother wanted Margaery to be queen at all. It seemed like the most dreadful job in the world. The old woman was clearly just crazy. And Margary was brainwashed. Yup, that was his theory on the matter. ”Really?” ”Mhm, you just try to stab the other person and avoid getting stabbed yourself. Except you would never want to stab me because I’m your favorite person in the universe and I would never want to stab you because then grandma would make me dress up and attempt to seduce the king. Not that I wouldn’t be good at it.” Loras laughed lightly. He could be as seductive as Margaery. It was just a matter him not throwing a temper tantrum or attempting to gouge his own eyeballs out. That was the part he needed work on. ”I know which end to use.” ”Good.” He laughed, jabbing the sword at her, though deliberately slowly so that she’d have a chance to block it away.

no, i want to be
the queen You know I didn’t mean that. “Will you just let me be a good sister? Stop being difficult.” Margaery wanted to do this for various reasons. She loved her brother dearly and really he was the only person that wasn’t driving her crazy recently. And the only one not pressuring her to be politically nice and correct. Margaery certainly didn’t have to kiss up to him. So she knew she owed him for basically being the one person to keep her remotely sane. Well him and their grandma, though that old lady had a one track mind about the throne. All Margaery knew is that she wanted to be queen for her family. To bring them into power and even more wealth. It was for her family, for her grandma. And surely for the country as a whole. She would be a pretty great queen. Margaery swung the practice sword around a little bit as Loras told her basically to stab her enemies with it was the objective. Not like she didn’t already know that. She what to do with the sword. It was just the how that she was a little lost on. Except you would never want to stab me because I’m your favorite person in the universe… Margaery gave him a skeptical look. She had two other brothers, it wasn’t like he was her only one. And they were all close for the most part, though Loras was right he was her favorite. However Loras did not need the confirmation. …then grandma would make me dress up and attempt to seduce the king. Not that I wouldn’t be good at it. “You would be terrible at it,” Margaery countered after rolling her eyes. “You don’t have the patience to seduce the king. Maybe if he was someone more tolerable then yes you would be wonderful at it. But he’s…not.” It wasn’t like Loras would be bad at the seduction part, its everything else that came along with being Margaery Tyrell. And it was a lot harder than it looked. Good. Margaery smiled at her brother just in time for him to jab the sword at her. Margaery took a quick step back and waved her practice sword in the air frantically. “Loras!”

”Will you just let me be a good sister? Stop being difficult.” ”I have to be difficult.” Loras responded with a laugh ”It’s my job.” If he just went along with things, then he’d look like he was slacking. None the less, he really did want to do this, so he stopped arguing until they were in the armory. ”You would be terrible at it.” ”I am offended.” ”You don’t have the patience to seduce the king.” Okay, she was right. ”Maybe if he was someone more tolerable then yes you would be wonderful at it. But he’s.. not.” ”Well maybe he should be,” Loras muttered in response. The problem was not him, it was Joffrey. Obviously. Loras would be awesome at seducing almost anyone who wasn’t psychotic. For the psychotic people.. that was why he’d learned to use a sword. ”Loras!” He laughed when she jumped back. ”You’re not supposed to run, you’re supposed to hit it. Like this,” he more slowly touched his sword to hers, pushing it up. ”Alright, how about you try.” Maybe she would like it better if she was the one doing to attacking.

the queen I have to be difficult. It’s my job. Margaery rolled her eyes but smiled at her brother. Honestly, the woman would probably think something was wrong with her brother if he just went along with everything. Though had ceased that argument for now, it was surely going to reoccur later. I am offended. “You’ll live.” Margaery chuckled nonchalantly. The woman had some very good points. Loras was good at flirting, just not flirting with psychopaths. He could barely last a dinner with Joffrey, with Margaery present. He could not last being married to Joffrey. Well maybe he should be. “He’s the king, the only thing he should do is lead.” And quite frankly Margaery didn’t even think the young king was even doing that right. But she wasn’t going to say that out loud. The woman narrowed her eyes at her brother when he laughed at her dismay. You’re not supposed to run, you’re supposed to hit it. Like this. Margaery watched carefully as Loras moved her sword. “Well you should have said something before.” It seemed simple enough. Now that she knew what she was supposed to do. Alright, how about you try. Margaery gave him a mischievous smile before clumsily lunging towards him.

"You'll live." "Only because if I didn't you would be sad." Loras said with a charming smirk. He knew he was her favorite and well, he liked bringing it up. "He is the king. The only thing he should do is lead." "Yes, but he can't even get that right." Loras pointed out, rolling his eyes. "Besides.. A king should do more than just bark out orders. He should be smart.. and kind.. and inspiring." Renly. He should be Renly. Okay. "Well you should have said something before." Loras laughed, very much enjoying having the upper hand (for once) over his sister. "It was obvious!" He allowed her to lunge towards him, not getting out of the way but hitting her sword with his. "That's how you block." He pulled his back and swung towards her, wanting to see what she would do.
