The North is the largest region in Westeros. It is nearly always cold. The Starks at Winterfell rule the area in the King's name. At the most Northern part of The North, the Night's Watch protects the Seven Kingdoms from what is beyond the Wall.

Sub-boards: The Dreadfort, The Neck, Oldcastle, Castle Black, White Harbor, Winterfell

This area consists of a group of islands on Westeros' western coast. It is an infertile area, but has successful mines.

The Riverlands is another fertile area, this one home to the Tullys of Riverrun.

Sub-board: Riverrun

Also know as simply, The Vale, this area is surrounded by the Mountains of the Moon. It is known for harsh winters and the ability to travel through the mountains only during certain seasons.

Sub-board: Eyrie

Home to Casterly Rock, The Westerlands are known for their gold and silver mines.

Sub-boards: Casterly Rock, Lannisport

As it's name suggests, The Crownlands is home to the current ruling family of Westeros, and the Iron Throne in King's Landing.

Sub-board: King's Landing

This is the second largest region in the Seven Kingdoms (after the North). It has the most fertile land and is home to Oldtown, the oldest city in Westeros.

Sub-boards: Highgarden, Ashford, Oldtown

The Stormlands are just south of King's Landing. It is a smaller region, with harsh mountains and rocky beaches. It is bordered by the Sea of Dorne.

Sub-board: Storm's End

The southernmost region in the Seven Kingdoms is Dorne. It reaches from the coast to the mountains, and is also the hottest area on the continent.
