she's got a wicked
A young woman with long blonde hair walked around her home in Casterly Rock. Actually, the girl more like moped. Cersei Lannister was more than a little upset that her proposed marriage to Prince Rhaegar hadn't worked out. She would have given him lovely children – kids with her whit and his flawlessly white-blonde hair. Attractive children who were also smart and would one day rule. This is what her father had said she would get. But the prince was not to marry her. And this is why she was incredibly disappointed. Who could really blame her? Cersei was an ambitious woman, and determined to be Queen. Being Queen would make her the most powerful woman in all of Westeros. Her family name held power now, and she knew she would be wed at the very least to a well-known nobleman, but that wasn't good enough for her. Of the three Lannister children, Cersei was probably the most power hungry. Jaime would inherit their father's lands and he cared about her so she'd be well taken care of, but Cersei was incapable of inheriting anything uless Jaime and Tyrion were dead. The imp she could handle killing, but her twin was an entire other story.
Cersei was closer to Jaime than most siblings were. They Targaryens married brother to sister, but Lannisters did not. She would never be allowed to openly have the relationship with her twin that she already had in secret. Even if she had accomplished marrying the prince, Cersei would have convinced her brother to move to King's Landing with her, a guard of sorts, so she could carry on her relationship with him. Not that it really mattered now. The Lannister daughter was stuck in Casterly Rock. The blonde girl made her way to her room and sat on the edge of the bottom of her large bed. She picked up her needle work, the thing that girls were supposed to do (you know, not inherit lands or anything) and started working again. Her work was flawless, but unentertaining for her.

there is a tool for every task,
and a task for every tool. So things weren’t going exactly according to plan. No matter, Tywin was surely going to adjust to the changes in politics. Cersei was not going to marry the Targaryen prince. That’s fine, it was a lost. However they were Lannisters, they didn’t mope about losses. Tywin would like to think he could win them all, but he was a realistic man. He knew that was impossible. It was a ‘choose your battle’ kind of world. And Tywin was choosing to pick another battle. The prince’s father was starting to go mad. Okay he wasn’t starting, he was. It was going to be his downfall and Tywin was ready to back the party that would soon throw him off the throne. It was just a matter of getting the right royal to do so. The man had put much thought into it and decided to back Robert Baratheon. Financially that was. If the man were to show success maybe he would lend more help. But right now, his money was going to have to do. Well his money and his daughter. You know the blonde woman who reminded him of a more emotional version of himself. If she wasn’t a woman and was ruled by emotion, Tywin could see great things from her. However that was not the case. And he needed to groom her to be married, while focusing on Jamie inheriting the lands and title. The gods couldn’t’ just give him simple children. After his bumbling father, the name Lannister was just a joke. Once Tywin was in charge that changed, with a lot of hard work from Tywin. Surely the gods should have granted him with rewards. Instead he got a dwarf for a son and two other children that were rumored to be taking their relationship further. Tywin had ignored the rumors, as it was not directly affecting their family name. At least not right now. The lord made his way to his daughter’s room, preparing himself for the argument that was probably going to happen. It was already decided that she would be married to Robert. Where and when was still to be determined, but it was going to happen. And Cersei had the right to know, Tywin was willing to concede to that. The man knocked softly on the door, before opening it and entertaining the room. “Cersei,” Tywin greeted stiffly. “I understand you are disappointed about the prince, as am I. However there has been some new development. Another suitor which I have deemed appropriate for you.” Because it clearly wasn’t her choice.

she's got a wicked
Frowning at her needlework, Cersei Lannister thought about the events that had taken place recently. She had been more than happy – overjoyed even – when her father had promised her a royal marriage. But that wasn't going to happen. Cersei wasn't one to give up, but as a woman she figured she had the right to be upset for a little while. She wanted to be Queen. That would give her the most power a woman in this world could have. She didn't even care about the person himself – she just wanted to marry whoever would become King. She really was one of the more ambitious children. Too bad she'd been born a woman. Cersei often wondered what it was like to be Jaime. He would have everything. He could inherit lands and take a wife. He had some choice in what his future held. For Cersei to have a choice, she had to manipulate people and trick them. She'd gotten pretty good at it, but it still wasn't the same. It was times like this that she wished she had been born a boy. She would have made an excellent man. She would have been able to carry on her father's name in a proud fashion. Instead she would have to settle for trying to be the most powerful woman in the world. She looked up when she heard the knock on her door. It was actually a little strange when she thought about it that a man as powerful as her father would knock on someone's door, but she supposed he did it in case she was indecent. Trying on new clothes or something, as she was prone to do when she was bored. A walk in on something like that might have put them in an awkward position. Lannisters weren't supposed to be embarrassed, and that would have been an embarrassing situation. She put her project down next to her – it would not do to give her father anything less than her full attention. “Another suitor which I have deemed appropriate for you.” The little Lannister made a face; this was what her life was reduced to because she had different parts between her legs and two lumps on her chest. It didn't quite seem fair, but as Cersei knew well enough- life wasn't fair. “Are we giving up that easily?” In the conversation, though her father may have seen things differently, Cersei imagined themselves equals of sorts. He was her father, but she was probably more entertainment than her brothers. She at least was willing to do what she had to do for the family name. Cersei knew how to play the game. OOC: Cersei will likely resist the idea of marrying anyone else until he explains his plans... just a heads up. She is so vain! lol
