you are still young and stupid
Shae paced angrily around the lavish room, irritated once again. She hated being kept in this room all day, every day. Shae was used to being kept a secret. That wasn’t the problem. She was a whore after all, it wasn’t like other men haven’t asked to keep their sexual activities a secret with her. However this was different. Tyrion was more than just another man that visited her. He meant a lot to her and she was being kept a secret, which she understood. Because his family was nuts. But keeping her in a room. Yea that was a little excessive. She was good at not being caught. And the girl had snuck out plenty of times without getting caught. It wasn’t her fault Varys was sneakier than her and found out about her. That was no reason to literally lock her in a room for the rest of her days. She took a deep breath, something she was told to do when she was irritated. However it didn’t calm her down like everyone said it would. The girl stopped pacing when she heard a key jingle in the door knob. Finally. Shae had told Varys to get Tyrion over an hour ago. This was ridiculous; she was not being locked in this room any longer. It wasn’t like the little Lion knew how it felt, no he certainly did not. Shae walked over to one of the tables, grabbing a small goblet. As soon as the door opened up, she chucked the goblet at Tyrion. Making sure to aim high as to not actually hit him. Just scare him. “You locked the door,” Shae stated with irritation. She reached over to grab another goblet. Surely he was going to say something that would make her throw it.

those are brave men knocking at our door, let's go kill them
Tyion knew from the moment that Varys came to get him that he’d thrown himself into the doghouse. Shae was not a patient woman, nor did she seem to understand that Tyrion was only trying to look out for her. Maybe that was why he didn’t exactly rush back to the room once he was summoned. It was a delicate matter because he knew what the woman wanted just as muc as he knew he couldn't give it to her. Though despite the fact he knew she would be angry he wasn’t quite prepared to have a goblet thrown at him the second he opened the door. ”You locked the door.” ”Last time I didn’t, you left.” Tyrion pointed out very simply, eyeing the goblet in her hand warily. How had he wound up with so many violent friends? Between this, Varys’s sneaking around, and Bronn scheduling uniform assassinations… Podrick was quickly becoming his favorite of the group. Or at least the only one he trusted enough to leave alone. He moved closer to her, taking her hand and lowering it gently. ”We talked about this, Shae. It isn’t safe.”

Last time I didn’t, you left. “I got bored,” Shae stated simply, like that was a good enough reason to leave the room. If they didn’t come back to King’s Landing this wouldn’t have been a problem. She didn’t understand why Tyrion wasn’t taking her idea of leaving seriously. Yes he had nothing to do at Pentos. But at least he would be alive and Shae wouldn’t be locked in a bedroom for her whole life. They would have a fun and carefree life. Something Shae wanted and longed to have, something that some little person can give her. If he wasn’t being so stubborn. Shae’s eyes narrowed at him as he walked closer to her. She stopped herself from throwing the goblet as he took her hand and lowered it. Her hand went limp in his grip and the goblet fell to the ground. We talked about this, Shae. It isn’t safe. “Then why are we still here?!” Shae questioned loudly, taking her hand back and walking away from him and over to the bed. “You try staying locked in a room for the entire day…at least you have things to do.” Shae was bored and alone. It was mostly because she was alone. Shae didn’t have any company and no entertainment. Tyrion had no idea what that was like. He talked to people on a daily basis. Sure he wasn’t out playing games or drinking, at least Shae was assuming he wasn’t. But at least he had things to do. She was lucky if she got a visit from anyone, especially him throughout the day. The woman sat on the edge of the bed and crossed her arms over her chest.

”I got bored.” ”That’s the problem.” If he knew she could stay in the room without getting bored and in turn getting herself seen by half the castle, he wouldn’t lock the door. However that was most certainly not the case. Tyrion didn’t know what Shae wanted him to do. Okay.. he did know. The problem was that he couldn’t do it. ”Then why are we still here?!” ”Because..” She knew why. Tyrion sighed when she walked away from him, following her and sitting on the bed. ”I’ve told you you should leave… multiple times.” He’d been saying it since they first got to Kings Landing. Of course, Tyrion didn’t actually want her to leave. But he knew anywhere would be better for her than here. Anywhere would be better for most people. ”You try staying locked in a room for the entire day.. at least you have things to do.” ”They’re not fun things.” Tyrion acknowledged. He didn’t particularly enjoy at the politics and senselessness.. not in the same way he enjoyed spending time with Shae, obviously. ”I’d rather be here.” He took her hand again, leaning over and giving her a kiss. Hey, Shae fucked her way out of everything. He figured it was worth a try.

That’s the problem. She knew that was a problem. It was a problem that she was bored. It was a problem that she had to stay in a room all day. It was a problem that she risked getting killed just being there. Shae was well aware of the problems circling them. But unlike someone she was determined to find a solution or at least find a way to live with the problem.Because… “Because you’re an idiot.” It was really that simple. All of those reasons made sense, to other people. To Shae she didn’t understand. If they left they could have fun and live. He clearly hated his family and the political bullshit was…well bullshit. I’ve told you, you should leave…multiple times. Shae repressed the urge to roll her eyes, a task that was pretty hard. “I’m starting to think you just don’t want me here.” Shae had made it clear she wasn’t leaving. She was in no way leaving without him. But the more he brought up her leaving, the more she began to think he really wanted her gone. He was surely pushing for it. Of course the woman knew it was to protect her and all that. But still there were doubts. They’re not fun things. “Yet you stayed for those things when we could have left.” If they weren’t fun then why stay. Shae was really not seeing the sense in his decision. I’d rather be here. Shae looked down at his hand as he grabbed hers. She gave him a skeptical look as he leaned over to kiss her. Shae of course kissed back for a few seconds before pulling away and pushing him back on the bed. “You think you can fuck your way out of this one?” Shae questioned with a tone that was somewhat playful and somewhat angry. Shae was more than happy to have sex with him, after she proved her point. “You rather be here instead of out there? Fine.” Shae walked over to the door, closing in abruptly. “We will stay in here…” However they weren’t having sex. Oh no, he was going to go through a day that Shae had to deal with.

”Because you’re an idiot.” Tyrion sighed, conceding. He nodded his head. ”Because I’m an idiot.” He must have been. He had no idea why he was so compelled to stay there, but if he left, he knew he’d end up driving himself insane. Though the way this was going, it seemed that would be a consequence of staying as well. He'd dug himself a rather large hole. ”I’m staying to think you just don’t want me here.” ”You know that’s not true.” He wanted her there… almost as much as he wanted her safe.. and happy. Unfortunately, those three things were mutually exclusive. ”Yet you stayed for those things when we could have left.” ”We all make bad decisions.” He really would rather not think about what they could have been doing and instead enjoy what they were able to do. Shae seemed to have other ideas. ”You think you can fuck your way out of this one?” Well, he’d tried. ”It works for you,” he muttered. ”You rather be here instead of out there? Fine. We will stay in here..” Tyrion glanced at the door, pursing his lips. ”Alright,” he agreed, sitting back on the bed. ”Show me why this is so horrible.” Because.. spending the day in his room with Shae did not actually sound that bad.

Because I’m an idiot. Shae was glad they were on the same page for once. Really, it wasn’t that difficult to agree with her on occasion. Most of the time the girl had some brilliant ideas and was generally on the right side of any argument. It would make sense to agree with her more often, just saying. You know that’s not true. “Then stop telling me I should leave,” Shae stated like it was obvious. It was though. They both knew that he wanted her there, but the more he began suggesting she leave, more she began to doubt him. Of course nothing can ever come easy in Kings Landing. As Shae was finding out. We all make bad decisions. “And then we learn from them.” So why were they still there? Clearly staying was a bad idea. He knew that. She knew that. Great, now that everyone was on the same page, lets all get on the same bandwagon. And you know, leave. It works for you. Shae decided to ignore that. It was pretty obvious as to why she was better at it. He was a man, and men typically had a weakness in the lower pants region. However women were known for controlling their urges. Or at least Shae was better at controlling her urges. There were some women that made the previous statement false. But they weren’t in the room. Alright. Shae narrowed her eyes as he sat back on the bed. Show me why this is so horrible. Shae sat on a chair across the room from him. “Find something in this room to entertain yourself. Not me, though.” Yea, no, they weren’t having sex. If she didn’t get that luxury during the day, he wasn’t going to right now.

”Then stop telling me I should leave.” ”I’m just trying to protect you,” Tyrion explained… sighing. He felt like a broken record. ”And then we learn from them.” ”Not usually, actually.” If people did learn from their mistakes, well, the world would be a different place all together. ”Find something in this room to entertain yourself. Not me, though.” ”Okay,” Tyrion acknowledged, not quite seeing the problem. He got up, walked across the room, took a book, and sat down again. Yeah, Shae was going to crack before he did. Tyrion knew how to entertain himself.

I’m just trying to protect you. Shae waved her hand dismissively. It was an argument they had many times before and would surely continue having in the future. For now she was bored with it. What he saw as protection, she saw as something else. It was a subject they would probably never see eye to eye, but they shall move past it. After all they had a lifetime to do so, if they had enough luck. You know something that some people have in this franchise. Most of those people undeserving but Ally digresses. Not usually, actually. “Well they should,” Shae stated defiantly. What was the point of educating people if they weren’t going to learn from their mistakes? Really it was just a waste of time if people were going to do the same things over and over again. Waste of time and money, but again Ally digresses. Okay. Shae watched as Tyrion glanced around the room before picking up a book and claiming it as his entertainment. Damn him. Shae narrowed her eyes and walked over to him. She slid herself next to him, grabbed the book from his hands, and tossed it across the room. “Books are not allowed either.”

Tyrion looked up at Shae with confusion when she threw his book across the room. "Books are not allowed either." "And why is that?" The books were in the room. They always had been. Shae could pick one up as easily as he could. Of course, Tyrion was well aware that playing games with Shae was a losing matter.. because the woman would change every rule until she won. "I suppose alcohol is out of the question?" he asked, having a few more things he was willing to try before giving up. "I guess we'll just sit here then. In silence." He was still pretty sure he would last long enough to prove his point, though he was slightly irritated by the whole thing.
