no, i want to be
the queen Margaery let out a giggle as she skipped past one of the guards of Highgarden. She grabbed onto a pillar and swung herself around it, her long blonde hair flying all over the place. “Loras!” the little girl called, looking down the hall. Where was her brother? She was bored and wanted to play. Of course he could have been off practicing to fight or whatever it was boys did. And technically she was supposed to be with their Grandmother, practicing…well to become her grandmother. Follow in the woman’s footsteps. And normally Margaery would have no problem with that, she enjoyed being around her grandma. Especially when she was making fun of Loras and their father. But her grandmother had decided to go play some cards with visiting lords, so Margaery was left to find her own entertainment. And the girl immediately thought of her brother Loras, the two were really close and she hung out with him when they weren’t off learning to be a knight and a lady. Margaery continued to skip down the halls until she saw the familiar curls. “Loras!” Margaery exclaimed running over to him and jumping onto his back. “Guess what…I’m bored. Grandma’s playing cards with some boring, stuffy people. We should do something!” You know like a game or play pranks. Though a game would be safer and a game would be more acceptable. Margaery was told to be on her best behavior when there were visitors. Olenna wanted her to make a good impression on anyone that came to Highgarden, just in case she needed their influence later in life.

Loras walked across a stone wall, hands out to his sides to keep his balance as he put one foot in front of the other. He was so bored. Visitors meant he didn’t have to practice, but they also meant that everyone who entertained him was busy. They were all supposed to be on their best behavior (which, for Loras, generally meant ‘stay away from the visitors’). And their grandma could never make friends with lords who had sons. He could go looking for Margaery.. but he figured his sister was with Olenna doing boring political things. He jumped off the wall, walking back inside. He was determined to find something to do. It wasn’t before long before a familiar voice was calling his name. ”Loras!” He laughed when the girl jumped on him, leaning forward slightly as he regained his balance. ”Well hello.” ”Guess what… I’m bored.” ”Hey, you didn’t let me guess!” That wasnt fair. He’d have guessed that. It was obvious. ”Grandma’s playing cards with some boring, stuffy people. We should do something!” He grinned, nodding his approval. They didn’t need to discuss what to do. They were both thinking the same thing. Loras put his sister down on the floor, tapping her shoulder, shouting ”Tag!”, and running in the other direction.

the queen Margaery let out a giggle as her brother tried to regain his balance. Hey, you didn’t let me guess! “You would have taken too long,” Margaery countered playfully. She ruffled Loras’ curls all over his head. He would have taken too long to guess. It could have been a number of things. Boredom. She found a new toy. She got a new toy. Olenna told her a secret. Really it could have been a number of things that Margaery wanted to tell Loras. After all she practically told him everything. So yes he may have been too slow in guessing which is why she just gave it to him. Margaery’s grin widened when Loras nodded his head in approval about doing something. At least they were on the same page. Which wasn’t that surprising. He put her down on the floor and quickly tapped her on the shoulder. Tag! “Cheater!” Margaery exclaimed running after her brother. She bunched up her dress and quickly followed. She was clearly not ready for that, even though she was thinking the same thing. Margaery quickly turned a corner, finding a way to cut Loras off. She appeared in front of him and quickly bopped him on the forehead. “You’re it!” She smirked at him mischievously before running off down the hall. Margaery caught site of a tapestry and quickly hid herself behind it. Margaery clapped a hand over her mouth trying not to let out a giggle. The girl stood on her tip toes to make sure her feet weren’t sticking out from underneath it.

”You would have taken too long.” ”How do you know?” She wasn’t a psychic. She couldn’t read his mind. For all she knew that could have been exactly what Loras had been thinking. It wasn’t… but that didn’t matter. What mattered was that she hadn’t let him guess. Loras couldn’t be upset at her though; his older sister had saved him from boredom and now they were going to play a game. ”Cheater!” ”You're just mad I thought of it first!” They both had equal chance to start the game so, it was obviously fair. Loras had just reaped the rewards of the opportunity. He was so busy running he hadn’t even realized that Margaery wasn’t behind him until she was appearing in front of his face. He tried to back away but she was faster. ”You’re it!” He laughed, chasing her down the hall. When he saw the tapestry moving he knew that she must have been behind it. Loras smirked, sneaking up in front of it quietly and putting a hand on both sides. He threw it up, touched her, and then let it drop. ”Got ya!” he called as he ran off. He turned the corner, grabbing hold of the nearest open door and running inside. He quickly dove under whoever’s room it was’s bed, covering his head in attempt to appear more invisible.. because that was obviously how that worked.

the queen How do you know? “I just know…I’m all knowing, like grandma,” Margaery mocked with a grin. The old lady seemed to be very all knowing. Olenna was the person that knew everything about everyone, so yes she was pretty much all knowing. And she was training Margaery to be like her, so clearly that made the small girl all knowing. You’re just mad I thought of it first! “It’s still common courtesy to give the lady a head start!” Didn’t he know better? And here she thought they were both taking lessons. Grandma should have been teaching him manners as well. Can’t give an unruly boy a sword and expect it to be okay. Margaery was glad she got the jump on him though, it meant she was slightly smarter than her little brother. She tried not to move under the tapestry too much but clearly she was found. Got ya! Margaery let out a shriek, surprised to see her brother standing in front of her. He ran off before she could process what just happened. The small girl quickly ran out from underneath the tapestry and ran in the direction her brother went. She turned around the corner and noticed a door open. Margaery stopped herself from giggling as she walked into the room. “Loras?” she questioned, looking around. Under the bed, that had to be where he was. It was the best hiding spot in the room. She tiptoed over to the bed and quickly looked underneath, immediately spotting her brother. “There you are!” she tapped his leg before running on top of the bed. “Come and get me, little brother!” Margaery let out a giggle as she began jumping on the bed. Lightly jumping, not to shake the bed too much.

”I just know… I’m all knowing, like grandma.” Loras rolled his eyes. ”Grandma doesn’t know everything.” he argued. Sure, the woman was smart, but she wasn’t supernatural. And neither was his sister. Other people could believe that but Loras knew better. He spent way too much time with them both. ”It’s still common courtesy to give the lady a head start!” ”You’re not a lady, you’re my sister!” She was older than him.. clearly he was the one who deserved the head start. Again, Loras knew how to use manners. But they were reserved for other people. ”Loras?” He tried to curl his legs further against the back of the bed but his sister still touched him. Apparently turning invisible hadn’t worked. ”Come and get me little brother!” He climbed out from under the bed, grinning as he grabbed his sister’s ankle, pulling her down before jumping up on the bed. He ran across it, jumping off the other side and running to the window. "C'mon, c'monnn" The stupid thing needed to open.

the queen Grandma doesn’t know everything. “I would tell her you said that but she probably already knows,” Margaery stated with a smug face, letting out a laugh. Grandma was smart and the girl was pretty sure the old lady knew everything. There was no other explanation to it. Really she seemed to know all the stories of families. And know exactly what to say and do when other people are around. The woman was definitely a genius and most likely all knowing. You’re not a lady, you’re my sister! “Yes, but I’m still a girl!” Meaning she got a head start. That was polite after all. And Loras had to learn manners clearly. Margaery would speak to her grandmother about this. The old lady would certainly like to talk to Loras, it would be very funny. But anyways back to their game! Margaery bounced on the bed until she felt her brother’s hand wrap around her ankle and pull her down. “Loras!” The girl let out a small giggle as her brother began jumping on the bed with her. Margaery got to her feet once more and began jumping on the bed just as her little brother got off and went to the window. C’mon, c’monnn. “Move,” Margaery gestured for him to move over so she could try her idea. Which was to break the window. The girl grabbed a conveniently placed book and threw it hard at the window. Which broke it but also opened it. “Don’t tell grandma!” The girl was supposed to be on her best behavior. And breaking a window was technically not polite.

”I would tell her you said that but she probably already knows.” ”She does not.” Loras crossed his arms. She couldn’t know. She was in a different room and he wasn’t that loud and the only way she’d know was if Margaery told her.. which would probably happen but anyway. ”Yes, but I’m still a girl!” ”Kind of,” I mean she was a girl but she wasn’t like.. a real girl. Loras didn’t need to show her manners. Those were for the fancy ladies who weren’t related to him. The two of them jumped on the bed until they decided it was time to break down a window because they were just full of brilliant ideas this morning. ”Don’t tell grandma!” ”We can blame Garlan!” Loras suggested, laughing. He held out his hand with fake politeness to help his sister out the window. ”Ladies first,” he mocked. She could go first because it someone was going to get stabbed with broken glass it shouldn't be him.

the queen She does not. “How do you know?! You aren’t all knowing like grandma!” No, that trait was going to Margaery. One day at least. Margaery was trained to be Olenna in every way, including knowing everything. She was excited for that day, however today was not that day. Margaery did not know everything, but she believed that her grandmother did. And Loras should believe that too. It made sense knowing their grandma. Kind of. “Kind of?!” Margaery squeaked feeling insulted. She had all the body parts of a girl, she was born a female. She is a female. She wasn’t’ sure what Loras was getting at. He was being super rude. “You are rude.” Though Margaery did nto act like a normal girl. Running around with her brother, playing in the dirt, playing pranks on other people, breaking windows. Yes she wasn’t like a normal girl, she looked like one and that was as close as it got. For the time being. Speaking of breaking windows… We can blame Garlan! “That will be believable!” Margaery cheered with a grin on her face. Garlan would totally break a window, nobody would suspect Margaery or Loras. Ladies first. The little girl rolled her eyes at him. “I’m not a lady, I’m your sister,” the girl mocked right back waving her hand towards the window. She looked at the glass and realized why he wanted her to go first. She let out a sigh. “Grandma’s right, men are babies.” Margaery ripped pieces of dress off and wrapped it around her hands. Using her now protected hands, she broke the rest of the glass away before officially climbing out the window and onto the ledge.
