before you start, know that we have the right to
make changes to these rules at any time as needed.
make changes to these rules at any time as needed.
one. this site is rated "please use common sense". this is GoT. so yes, there will be sex, there will be blood, but please adhere to proboards rules because some of us spent too much time working on this forum for it to get deleted. keep it to what you'd see in a pg-13 movie and we'll be alright.
two. we are a fairly literate rp. that means no one liners. posts should at least 200 words, in the third person, with proper spelling and grammar. simple.
three. don't make a character if you don't plan on posting with it. we currently have no limit on how many characters you can make or how many canons you can have. all we ask is that you keep them all active. active means logged in regularly and with a few in character posts a week. if you're going to be gone for a long time, let us know. disappear without warning and you're at risk to be deleted.
four. applications (and posts.. i guess
five. we don't like drama and bullshit (out of character, that is). which means we have zero tolerance for people causing problems. respect the staff and don't argue when we ask you to do something. respect the members and if you have an issue, bring it to our attention in a mature way.
six. "ugh, i hate it when admins take all the main canons." we don't want to hear it. first off, we admins do not actually have a lot of main canons. we have a lot of very obscure canons. second, we spent a lot of time working on a beautiful canon list with MANY open characters. expand your horizons and pick one. thirdly, tough noodles. yea, we made the site so we do get first pick. if you're going to complain because your canon isn't open... well, don't. go make a forum. you'll have first pick then.
see, that wasn't so bad, was it? of course, we know from past experience, it doesn't matter how plainly the rules are laid out. people are still going to think they can get around them. a lot of sites have a three strikes policy to deal with rule breakers, but we're not that patient. if you annoy us, we'll probably just ban you. but if we like you, you can basically do whatever you want. so go hit the register button- you know you want to.
