CERSEI LANNISTER (BARATHEON)
"If I wanted to kill to you, do you think I'd let a wooden door stop me? "
personality:**Power – Cersei is all but obsessed with power. She even resents the fact (sometimes, anyway) that she is a woman, because as a woman she cannot directly have power. She is not able to inherit lands, like her twin Jaime (if he hadn't joined the Kingsguard). She has done well in her position, however. As queen she has been able to do things that she never would have been able to do if she had not married Robert (despite the fact that she practically loathes the man). She has also held onto the name “Lannister,” though she is technically Baratheon now, because her father is powerful and the name holds a power of its own.LIKES
**Jaime Lannister – Her twin brother is a huge part of Cersei's life. He's more than just her twin brother. He's her protector and lover, though no one knows about the second part. There are rumors throughout the Seven Kingdoms that Cersei's children are not her husband's, but anyone that suggested it to her would find theirselves lacking a head.
**Her Children – Only Cersei and Jaime know the truth about Joffery and Myrcella. Well, them and Jon Arryn who died because of that knowledge. Aside from Jaime, her children are her life. She would do just about anything in her power to see them succeed. Especially Joffery, who she insists will someday be king.
**King's Landing – She defitely prefers King's Landing to Casterly Rock, her hometown so to speak. She likes being Queen, being wanted and for people to want to be her. Even though she isn't a fan of Robert, she enjoys what he has given her.
**Attention – Cersei loves attention, especially when it's positive. She wants to be adored by everyone. Being pretty has gotten her to where she wants – the highest position a woman can hold. She's terrified of her status being taken away from her.
DISLIKES
**Tyrion Lannister – It should surprise no one that the woman who wants to be perfect hates her imperfect imp brother. She associates his birth with her mother's death and actually blames him for it, though it probably wasn't his fault. She's been known to torture the imp, even when he was a baby, carrying him by the legs and exclaiming that her mother had given birth to a monster. It doesn't matter that he's logical and thinks things through and would probably be very good for the kingdom. She finds him repulsive and thinks of him as a bastard child.
**Being overlooked – As one can imagine, in a world where men rule for the most part, for someone as vain and power-hungry as Cersei Lannister, being overlooked can cause a real complex.
**Being a Woman – Of course, Cersei, loving power and everything that goes along with it, would have preferred to have been born a man. She would have liked to be able to inherit Casterly Rock (though she likes King's Landing more), and sleep with whores without being judged.
**Being Apart from Jaime – When they were little kids and messing around with each other, their parents caught them. They were separated until Jaime became part of the Kingsguard. Cersei does not feel like she is whole unless Jaime is around. She feels that since they were born at the same time (her just minutes before him), they are more like the same person than two different people, and that it is only natural that they would feel the way they do.
**The Starks – Though she is aware of her husband's plan to wed the red-haired Stark girl, Cersei is not a fan of the family. She is okay with wedding her son to Sansa because the girl seems to be willing to do what she's told in order to be with Joffery, but the family in general almost disgusts the queen. She is able to have a semi-pleasant conversation with Eddard's wife, but they don't seem to value the same things that she does.
STRENGTHS!?!
Cunning – Cersei is probably one of the more cunning and secretive women in the realm.
Manipulation – Cersei is just full of bad things! She's been known to easily manipulate people to do what she wants them to do, this includes when she convinced Jaime to become part of the Kings Guard.
Independent – Or she would be if she wasn't a woman. Still, she finds ways to get around rules and do what she wants to do. Though being financially independent is another story. She needs daddy's money.
Pretty – It's physical, but it's a strength... At least in her eyes. She relies on it sometimes to get her way.
WEAKNESS!?!
Impatient – Cersei wants results and she wants them immediately.
Self-centered – She doesn't have it in her to care about almost anyone else which leaves her with very few friends (though she'll deny that).
Arrogant – She believes that she is the most important person and relies on her status as a Lannister to get her places.
Unloyal – Aside from the few people in her family, Cersei will betray anyone before she lets herself get into trouble.
If turning you in will get people off of her back, Cersei Lannister will do just that. She is out for herself, numero uno in her book. A close second would be Jaime, followed by her mother(even dead) and father. She also respects her uncle Kevan. She absolutely despises her youngest brother, Tyrion, partially because he is an ugly dwarf and partially because she associates her mother's illness with Tyrion's birth. She has more love for Jaime than she would care to openly admit and while if it came down to her life or his she would choose hers, she would also grieve for Jaime possibly for the rest of her life. Her care for Jaime is a side that hardly anyone sees. Most people see her as the solid rock that she portrays herself to be. She is fond of power and is not above manipulating people to get to it. She's also impatient and not very good at seeing the consequences of all her actions. In many ways she has the emotional maturity of a small child, getting angry when she does not get what she wants and demanding that people do everything she expects of them.
Few people were as cold as Cersei Lannister could be. Some might have considered that a weakness, the blonde queen considered it a strength. To be fair, she could be passionate when she wanted to be, and to who she wanted to be kind to. Her children made up about two thirds of that group, her twin brother the other. At one point her father and mother would have made the cut, but her mother was dead and she had begun distancing herself a little from her father. For one thing, he was at Casterly Rock. Eddard Stark had become the hand of the king after Jon Arryn had passed. She really should have seen that one coming. The whole lot of them had gone North, a place that was almost as cold as Cersei's heart, just to ask him. And so Robert could pay his respects to the woman who would have been his wife. Cersei wrinkled her nose at the thought. She had no real love for Robert, but she didn't like the thought of him sleeping around, though there wasn't anything she could do about it.
The queen leaned against a wall in one of the hallways, looking out the window. They had been back in King's Landing for a while now. Cersei would have stayed here in the first place if Jaime hadn't gone, but it was her brother's job to protect the king. She wrinkled her nose again, in disgust. That was the one downfall of her twin being on the Kingsguard. He was basically at the king's beck and call. She supposed she was too, or would have been if he had liked her enough.
Cersei strummed her fingers on the stone window pain. It was warmer here. For all of Ned's talk about Winter Coming, it certainly didn't feel like it. The blonde woman wasn't a fool, she knew when it did come it would be horrible, but for now she would enjoy the sun, even if her skin didn't make her look like she enjoyed it. She supposed if she really wanted to she could go outside, but she rarely went out without a guard or two. It was their job to protect her as well, after all. She was the queen. Despite the fact that Rhaegar Targaryen had not married her as her father had promised, Cersei had become the most important woman in the Seven Kingdoms. The woman could take a little pride in that, and she did. In any case, she would rather stay in the castle than have one of the guards go out with her. She supposed she could ask for Jaime, but he had other things to do, appearances to keep up.
The queen's hair was lying down, not quite straight against her back. She spotted someone tending their gardens and watched the old man moving around for a moment. But she was soon bored with him and sighed. Her mind moved to planning. She had to do something about Eddard Stark. He wasn't a stupid man; he would probably wonder what or who had killed Arryn.
