funny the things you thought youd never miss
in a world gone crazy as this
”Are you ready to admit you have no idea where we are yet?” Jon asked, voice slightly teasing. Robb and him had been walking around the forest for the last couple of hours. It was their first time going hunting by themselves, and the way this had gone so far, it was looking like it might also be their last. They hadn’t found anything, and that included the way back home. None the less, Jon wasn’t particularly concerned. It was still light out and.. at least they were having fun. They hadn’t been attacked by a bear yet, so it definitely could have been going worse. (He’d probably jinxed it now but whatever.) He adjusted his supplies over his shoulder, lightly bending a branch which sort of flung snow all over the place. Oops. Well at least now if passed that tree for a third time, they would know. "If anyone asks, it was huge." he commented with a smirk. You know, the thing that they'd hunted.. and obviously defeated with their superior skills. It was a good thing they had plenty of time to work on that explanation.

there must always be
Who knew that walking could be so exhausting? The boys were always playing with toy swords and up and about, but Robb and Jon had been walking for what seemed like the entire day (and probably wasn't because young boys tended to exaggerate) with no real sense of where they were going. If they didn't come home, their father would come looking for them. Robb's mother might insist that they find Robb, but he was fully aware of her feelings toward Jon. He supposed she'd had reason to be upset at first. But after a while Robb hoped that his mother would let the whole thing go. He loved Jon like a brother and it wasn't as if their father had brought the woman back too. But women were strange and moody.
“We're definitely lost,” Robb admitted, the sound of defeat tinting his voice. But if he were going to be lost with someone, he was glad that someone was Jon. He was closest to Jon than he was any of his other siblings, despite Jon being a half brother. “Oh whatever we were hunting was beyond large,” he agreed, going along with the lie, “probably four times bigger than both of us put together!” He exaggerated the word four, holding out his arms as if to demonstrate. “Too bad we couldn't carry it back. That one was a little big for us, don't you think, Jon?” Robb smiled, despite being lost. He looked around. “I hereby deem you navigator now. Which way, Jon?”
