JOFFREY BARATHEON
"YOU'RE TALKING TO A KING."
personality: Joffrey is the epitome of narcissism. He is apathetic toward anything that does not involve his own benefit. Power-hungry and arrogant, the boy continues to misuse his status whenever he sees the opportunity. He has no concept of the value of human life, and shows no sign of human affection for anyone, with the slight exception of his mother, Cersei. He respects and obeys no one, and would see half of his subjects executed without a second thought if he had the space for a homicide of such proportion.
The boy's survival instinct is incredible. Despite his lack of common sense, Joffrey is able to keep himself from harm, though he does so in a cowardly manner. He does not hesitate to blame others for any conflict he faces, particularly his uncle Tyrion for whom he possesses an obsessive hatred. He shows humanlike emotion only when he fears for his life, or when he becomes frustrated. He will often get himself aggravated and embarassed, knowing that he does not know how to perform simple tasks and not wanting to ask for help. He takes out such frustration with outbursts of irrational violence and anger. Interested in befriending no one, Joffrey Baratheon is, more or less, a monster.
"He didn’t understand why this was a two-man task. It disgusted Joffrey beyond words that anyone would think that accompanying him was necessary. Didn’t they trust him? He was king. If they valued their lives, they’d trust him. He walked to the room quickly, making no effort to check to see if his uncle was keeping up. ”I can hardly understand why you’ve insisted on coming with me,” he muttered, clearly aggravated with the company. He felt like he was a five year old with a chaperone. ”You’re lucky I won’t have you beheaded for such an insult.” He was really making it out to be a big deal and yet the guy didn’t let up. He opened the door and started rummaging through information, spending a bit too much time taking glances at things he shouldn’t have merely out of curiosity. Eh, he was the king. There was nothing he “shouldn’t have” been doing. The door closed behind them and he turned to Tyrion with his arms crossed and his eyebrows raised as if he was waiting for something. ”Well? You’ve gotten me here safely-- your accomplishment for the day,” he taunted, still not seeing why the hovering was appropriate. ”Go find something more important to do with your time. That is… if anything that takes up your time has the slightest bit of value.” I mean, considering he wasn’t the king, it probably didn’t."
